Material optimisation

Optimisation of material composition for individual applications is a core part of ChAMP. This is achieved through partnership with the Advanced Composite Materials Facility (ACMF) at the University of Southampton headed by Prof. Brian Hayden and housed in the department of Chemistry.

The ACMF group’s latest website includes details of their high-throughput characterisation capability that enables thousands of compositions to be rapidly screened for their performance in a wide range of applications from batteries to digital electronics and optics.
